Adams County Fair Dates Changed for 2026

 

The Adams County Fair will be held September 10–13, 2026, at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Traditionally held in August, the fair was moved to September for 2026 after the Adams County Agricultural Society evaluated several factors, including carnival availability. Securing a quality carnival experience remains a priority for the fair, and the September dates allow the fair to continue offering the rides, games, and attractions that attendees have come to expect.

The decision was made following discussions with fair partners, vendors, local leaders, and other stakeholders. The Adams-Friendship Area School District has also expressed a willingness to work with the revised dates, which occur during the school year.

The Adams County Fair Board recognizes that moving the fair outside of its traditional timeframe presents both opportunities and challenges. Many Wisconsin county fairs are successfully held in September, and the Board continues to gather information and best practices from those events to help ensure a successful experience for exhibitors, vendors, participants, and fairgoers.

The 2026 fair schedule is currently being developed. As planning continues, the Fair Board welcomes ideas and feedback from the community to help shape the future of the Adams County Fair.

The September 2026 dates are part of a one-year evaluation period. Following the 2026 fair, the Adams County Agricultural Society will review the results and determine whether September or August is the best fit for future fairs.

The Adams County Fair remains committed to providing a fun, family-friendly event that celebrates agriculture, youth achievements, local businesses, entertainment, and community traditions.
